Our serviced Apartment at The Point offers the very best location available in Cleethorpes and provides absolute luxury for our guests.  It is located directly on the seafront with uninterrupted views of the promenade and gardens, the award winning sandy beach and the sea.

The Apartment at The Point is inspected annually by Visit England and has been awarded 4*GOLD for it’s facilities, quality and our customer service.  It has also received the top marks of 100% for cleanliness.   We have also been awarded Welcome to Excellence for customer care.  It is our pleasure to pay that extra attention to the details that ensure your stay with us is a happy and relaxed one.

Location, location, location.........
Seaview  Street is lined with fabulous boutiques, a hair salon and a superb barbers, ladies lingerie boutique, antiques and jewellery, cookware and homeware shops.  There are two English pubs serving quality English cuisine and real ale, an Indian restaurant, Petite Pantry a French restaurant with a tea garden, the famous Marple’s Tearooms, Riverside Bar and Tapas, 2 banks with ATM machines, taxi office, newsagents and convenience store and several estate agents.
Along the Sea Road you will find many more superb and award winning places to eat.   SoThai,  Steels Corner House Restaurant, Meze (Greek/Turkish),Valerie’s Italian Restaurant, the Captains Table, Pizza One (fabulous 16” takeaway and delivery Pizza!), lots more Indian and Italian restaurants.
Within walking distance you can discover a multitude of entertainment.  A 16-lane bowling alley, 9 screen cinema and theatre, the beautiful boating lake, the sandpit, the paddling pool and The Jungle Zoo, Pleasure Island Theme Park, CCLR the miniature steam trains running all the way along the beach side and the (Tonka) LollipopTrain which travels along the promenade.
The Apartment at The Point is easily accessible from the A180, A18, A16.

The View
The view is extraordinary....changing hour by hour throughout the day and night.  Watching the beautiful sunrise, the changing tides, and seasons, are all a sight to behold.  The Pier and Promenade gardens running the full length of the resort have won national awards year after year for their designs and quality.  The ships and ferries make their way in and out of the mouth of the Humber to and from Grimsby, Immingham, Hull ports, fetching and carrying their cargo around the globe.  Views of Haile Fort and Bull Fort in their prominent positions reminding us all of their once vital role in protecting Great Britain from submarine invasions.  The Lighthouse at Spurn Point stands guard across the water on the Hull side of the Humber.  The Humber estuary is a paradise for birds and wildlife with a vast count of species calling it their home. 
All kinds of activities and major events take place on the beach and promenade which make exciting viewing, and from the balcony of the apartment guests have an exclusive viewpoint.   Polo teams practicing “the sport of kings” on the beach, The Red Arrows flying past the window in their patriotic blast of red, white and blue for the Cleethorpes Air Show, Lambrettas and Vespas, put-putting their way around the resort on scooter weekend, marching bands and floats passing by in The Cleethorpes Carnival to mention a few.
At night time the promenade lights are a cheerful delight.  The ships’ lights in the Humber twinkle away and the moonlight shimmers on the water.

There are 2 super-king bedrooms (beds 6ft wide), a shower room, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a large lounge with a dining area.

The Balcony
Relax on the balcony with a cup of tea, the waves lapping the beach and the sun rising on the horizon in the east, waking Cleethorpes up for another beautiful day.  Watch the early morning jockeys galloping along the golden sands and the fitness enthusiasts jogging and walking along the promenade.
The balcony provides a perfect viewpoint of the whole seafront.

Each of the bedrooms is fitted with modern, bespoke beds and quality mattresses.  We provide luxury pillows and duvets which are “as light as a feather”.  We are receiving great customer compliments for the quality of our bedding.  Both bedrooms have large double fitted wardrobes with plenty of hangers and shoe racks.  They have bedside cabinets and lamps.  Sheet change is made weekly or more often depending on guests’ requirements.  The bedroom windows provide a full seaview .  One of the bedrooms has double sliding windows out onto the balcony.

The kitchen is large and spacious and fully fitted with all modern white goods (washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, fan oven, fridge and freezer, coffee maker.     We provide a very large collection of pots, pans, glassware crockery and utensils.  We supply aluminium foil, baking parchment, tea-towels and cling-film.  We also provide all the cleaning products under the sink, including dish washer tablets.  The kitchen leads into the dining room and lounge.

Dining Area
There is a table and 6 dining chairs.  The dining area really is splendid for sharing a meal and happy times with family and friends.  If you would prefer not to cook, order a takeaway from any one of the superb restaurants close to the apartment.   It is also a perfect meeting table for colleagues, or a desk space for a professional working in the area.

The Lounge
The lounge is very spacious and fitted with a 4 seater and a 2 seater reclining leather suede suite.  There is a flat screen TV with freeview.

The Bathroom
The lovely fully tiled bathroom has a bath, toilet and sink.  The floor is also tiled. There is a shaver socket.  Complimentary toiletries are part of your welcome pack.  Towels can be arranged and are changed weekly or more frequently depending on guests’ requirements.

The Shower Room
The fully tiled shower room is an en-suite and has a superb, powerful shower, toilet and sink with shaver socket.  The floor is tiled also.

There is an allocated car-parking space in the secure car-park adjacent to the building.  There are also ample bike racks.  Access to this exclusive car park is by key fob only.  Any extra cars can be parked in the pay and display car park behind the apartment building or on the public streets.

Entry to the building is by key fob only.  Guests can only be allowed into The Point by residents via an electronic cctv/intercom system.  Members of the public are not allowed entrance to the building, only guests of residents.

We like to help our customers settle in as quickly and easily as possibly, so we have provided extensive Tourist Information at our Apartment at The Point.  We have also created a website www.cleethorpestouristboard.co.uk which we update regularly with tourist information across the county.
The Cleethorpes Tourist Information Centre is located in Cleethorpes Library just 250m away.

Mid – Long term stays
The Apartment is ideal for guests looking for a longer stay.  Perhaps working in the area, or relocating to the area, or maybe have sold a house and need a beautiful home for a few months whilst another is being bought or built.  We are open 365 days a year.
Weekly lets
Sometimes there may be a gap in the calendar between mid-long lets.  On these occasions it is possible that we might take a weekly or fortnight break. Please enquire.

Weekend breaks
We do not take one night or weekend breaks at The Point.  We are very happy to book these breaks at Beach House or at Cedar Park Cottages. 

As with all our properties the price depends on how many people are staying in the Apartment at the Point.  We are able to offer reduced prices for less people staying.  We are also able to tailor the services provided to meet the requirements of the guest.  Additional services can be provided on request and charged for accordingly.  Please get in touch with your required dates and details for a price to be calculated for you.
We operate weekly rates (all bills included).  No complicated minimum stay contract.

Home from Home
The Apartment is a perfect home from home.  It provides the facilities and versatility that only self-catering can, with all modern conveniences including full laundry equipment (washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, clothes-airer) wifi, hairdryer, flat screen tv, superb beds, and extremely high standards of cleanliness.

The Apartment at The Point is strictly a pet free zone.

Bus Transport around the County of Lincolnshire
Buses can be caught from the Pier, Cleethorpes Market Place and from directly across the road to The Point. From Cleethorpes and Grimsby you can access routes all over Lincolnshire, winding through pretty villages and in and out of beautiful historic market towns, or tootling along the coastline.  Bus routes are available from the Tourist Information Centre which is 250m away from the Apartment.

Travelling By Train
Cleethorpes Station is only a short walk away.  Or for something a little more exciting.......in the summer ........you could come out of the station onto the promenade.......and jump on the Tonka Train at the Pier.  This will whizz you all the way to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre.  You can hop off at the Leisure Centre, have some light refreshments (and a loo stop) at Kingsway Kiosks....and then walk the last few hundred yards to the Apartment at The Point.

The Apartment at The Point - April 2013-14

We have stayed at The Apartment at The Point for a long term business stay for the past year.  This address has been perfect for myself and colleague for several reasons:

  • Location – This apartment is right across the street from, and has a great view of and access to the beach.  Restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance.  We were within 20 minutes drive from our work site.
  • Amenities – The appliances and furnishings are new, making for a comfortable, functional address for a vacation, or longer (as in our case).  This apartment also has reserved parking, which takes away worries about finding a spot in this neighborhood.
  • Service – Sarah and Simon always ensured that the apartment was spotless, had fresh, high quality linens and that any maintenance issues were dealt with promptly.
